Jordan grew up in a family of variety performers and has been clowning since childhood. Professionally, he has studied Clown, Commedia, Acrobatics, & Cabaret at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre (as part of North America’s first accredited MFA program in Physical Theatre) with master teachers Lauren Wilson, Joe Krienke, Stephanie Thompson, along with Matt Chapman, James Peck, Janessa Johnsrude, Alyssa Hughlett and Carlos Gallegos, and at The Ume Group in New York City with Fabio Motta. As a practitioner of Butoh Dance, Jordan has taken workshops with some of the world’s foremost masters, including Yoshito Ohno, Ko Murobushi, and Katsura Kan, as well as more intensive study with his main teachers Joan Laage, Vangeline (New York Butoh Institute), Diego Piñon, and Tetsuro Fukuhara. In his cabaret work, Jordan often combines elements of Clown, Butoh, Drag, Burlesque, Striptease, and Puppetry.
Jordan’s clown & cabaret acts have been seen across New York City at venues like the Irondale Center (Off-Off Broadway), Parkside Lounge, Dixon Place, Kraine Theater, Coney Island USA, and Grace & St. Paul’s Church, as well as around the USA at Synapsis Nova (Eureka, CA), Redwood Raks (Arcata, CA) and Dell’Arte International (Blue Lake, California).
